ABIGAIL TAN, LL.B (Hons) (Conveyancing)

Abigail started her legal practice as a litigation lawyer and has spent the last 10 years in active practice in conveyancing handling sales and purchases of properties and representing banks in financial transactions. She also has vast experience acting for foreign and local financial institutions providing mulit-million dollar facilities in the area of ship purchase and financing. Her expertise includes reviewing and advising on shipbuilding contracts, charter parties and marine insurance policies.

Abigail was in private practice for more than 12 years before she joining public-listed company, Singapore Petroleum Company Ltd, in 2001 as Legal Manager. In 2004, she became Group Legal Counsel of the Sandz Group, a pan-Asian provider of enterprise business solutions, headquartered in Singapore, with offices in several South Asian countries. Through her work as in-house legal counsel, Abigail has gained considerable experience as a commercial lawyer and is keenly attuned to business considerations and objectives.

Abigail is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1988. Abigail is a member of the Law Society`s Investigative Tribunal from 2009 to 2011. She is a consultant with Pacific Law Corporation.
