ANGELA LEONG, LLB (HONS), Singapore Registered Patent Agent Angela has been
practicing Intellectual Property Law in Singapore
since 1988. She has managed the trademarks and patents portfolios of many multi-nationals and Fortune 500 companies
in diverse fields including telecommunications, pharmaceuticals,
electronics, fashion, food and beverages and
financial sectors. Her
clients look to her guidance in the whole process of selection of trade marks,
securing registration of their trademarks, patents, designs and domain names in Singapore as well
as strategizing the protection and maintenance of their
IP in various countries in the region
and worldwide. Angela was a
partner in one of Singapore’s oldest law firms
and most recently was a partner
of Singapore’s largest specialized patents
and trademarks firm. In her
years of practice, she has witnessed
major changes in the Singapore IP scene, and has led her
teams through such
significant developments as the conversion to Singapore new patents regime in 1995 and implementation of the Madrid Protocol system for the registration of trade marks
in 2000. Angela graduated from the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore in 1987 and was admitted to the
Singapore Bar in1988. She became a Singapore Registered Patent Agent in 2002. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and conversational Ml alay. |
